Here we are in lock down in 2020 and it’s creating interesting thoughts.
There is this massive pressure to be super-productive and achieve during this time and find the magic way to finacially gain from it to. SO many online courses, yoga classes, webinars, exercise plans., meditation challenges..after three weeks in lockdown I personally just wish it would zoom off.
I started this lockdown with the idea of turning these lemons into lemonade and my vision was to be productive, do some courses, reach some goals, complete some challenges and then i realised….
Lucy, Condo out the self help, stop doing and get back to basics and focus on self care. ride the bike, sew the hem, cook a delicious meal, read a novel. Stop doing, stop trying and just be…
Perhaps mother earth got so sick of being disrespected and polluted that she had to put us on the naughty step. Thus, giving us the space that we needed to think about our behaviour, our habits, our lifestyle, slow down, reset and not worry about being more productive, doing more work, webinars, podcasts, workshops, gaining more certificates. Perhaps it’s about seeing this lockdown as a gift and doing what you love, doing what you never had the time to do. like cooking delicious meals, sorting out the photo albums, going through the wardrobe, the garage, attic, garden shed, yoga practice, meditation and conversation.
We have just become a generation where nothing is enough. We want more to eat, drink, wear and more space to live in, more holidays and more more more.
Perhaps what we need to do is to strip it all back. Get the sewing machine out and make, mend, alter some clothes, perhaps we need to start a veggie garden or rent an allotment, perhaps home schooling is what kids today need. Perhaps we should live near our extended family and look after are aging parents. Perhaps we just need to simplify everything and really think about our core values.
One thing I know to be true is, without my Pillars of Wellness in Place i would not be in such a good place. Mentally, Physically, Emotionally and Spiritually. My non-negotiables are my yoga, meditation and my nutrition. During lockdown i have ramped up a knotch, I have taken this time to really take on Intermittent fasting 4 or 5 days a week, I have a 10K step walk every day and I have included 15 mins of Pilates Abs into my yoga practice.
I am a strong, independent, fit and healthy woman because my wellbeing is non-negotiables. I 100% put my stregth, determination, success and vision down to pure fact that I am Alcohol free. Without making that shift my life would look, feel and be very different.
So my friends, without being preachy, i would like to say. If you want to change anything in your life, and you are having trouble finding the strength to do it, then please just look at your drinking, eating, exercise and start right there or…
Better still phone me and let me help you, Im the right kind of bossy coach…
